Rep. Kevin Priola has been serving in the General Assembly since 2009. Priola represents House District 30, which encompasses central Adams County, and currently serves on the House Education Committee, House Finance Committee and the Legislative Council Committee.
Priola was born and raised in Adams County, Colorado. He graduated from the University of Colorado Business School where he studied finance and accounting with a minor in economics. Priola then joined the family businesses, Priola Greenhouses, Inc. and CAP Land Company.
Active in politics and in his community, Priola was a member of the College Republicans at CU. His service to the community also includes being a member of the Commerce City Name Change Committee, as well as the president, treasurer, and publicity chairman of the Commerce City Rotary Club. One of Priola’s favorite pastimes was directing Ralphie’s Handlers. The Handlers take care of Ralphie, the 1200 pound buffalo, CU’s official mascot.
As a legislator, Priola has worked on a host of issues, ranging from encouraging business development, to eliminating government waste, fraud and abuse.
Priola and his wife live in Henderson, with their son and two daughters and Ralphie.
