Representative Polly Lawrence was elected to the House of Representatives in 2012 and is the current House Minority Whip. She has lived in the Roxborough Park area of Douglas County for 25 years, where she has raised two children with her husband while remaining an active member of her community.
Rep. Lawrence was an officer and board member of Lawrence Construction as well as a Project Manager and Estimator in the construction industry. She has also been a Legislative Committee member for both the South Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Colorado Contractors Association.
Rep. Lawrence is a lifelong Republican and a member of the Douglas County Chairman’s Club. She graduated from the Leadership Program of the Rockies in 2008 and soon became a local precinct leader. She is a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Minority Contractor’s Association, a PTA president, a volunteer for both the Girl Scouts of America and the Boy Scouts of America, a volunteer for the National Sports Center for the Disabled, and a member of the Roxborough Women’s Network. She is a graduate of Wheat Ridge High School and Colorado State University.
